Continuing Medical Education: Agility in Minimally Invasive Surgery

Dr. Graham recently attended one of his regular annual plastic surgical educational meetings. The meeting subject focus was, "Agility in Minimally Invasive Surgery."

This outstanding course features in-depth discussions of cosmetic surgical techniques by national and international experts and innovators. The most important aspect of this meeting is the numerous live surgical demonstrations performed by those speakers. There is no other meeting like this in the country, and it regularly attracts faclty & audience members from Central & South America, Europe and Asia.

This year's focus areas were breast augmentation and body coutour surgery, although endoscopic brow and facial procedures were also highlighted. Dr. Graham is already experienced in these areas, and the educational updates allow us to maintain our high level of quality of care. We offer the latest in proven surgical techniques and technology. And we avoid unproven hype and bluster.

Dr. Graham is an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Greenville, South Carolina. Low-Cost Procedures in the Local News

The local newspaper (The Greenville News, www.greenvilleonline.com) recently ran a McClatchy News Service article with the title, "Demand grows for low-cost cosmetic procedures." It is a well written article that refers to statistics from the American Society of Aesthetic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Graham is a member of both organizations. www.PlasticSurgery.org and www.Surgery.org. It also quotes non-surgeons and dermatologists.

One major point is that patients are seeking more temporary "quick fixes" now.

We are proud that we offer our patients both injectable and/or laser solutions and definitive surgical rejuvenation. We suggest patients tell us the results the seek and the available down-time, and we will offer options that are suitable for them.

Ranges of options for face, breast & body are not new for The Aesthetic Center. Dr. Graham has extensive training and experience. In addition, his staff includes a post-graduate nurse practitioner with special experience and laser and injectables, and two Skin Care Specialists for non-invasive skin treatment. We treat a broad range of issues from blotchy pigment, fine lines and expression lines to gravity lines. We have professional product lines, unavailable in department stores, spas or salons.

Facelift in South Carolina: Natural, beautiful results

There are plenty of jokes about poorly done, overly tight, unnatural appearing facelift patients. The reality is that well done facelifts are so natural that most people never know you had it done, they only see how great you look. Our photo gallery can be viewed at http://www.expertplasticsurgeon.com/photogallery/facelift-necklift-4805/case-6-07394-16775

Dr. Sutton Graham has an excellent reputation for achieving beautiful, natural-looking results with face lift cosmetic surgery. A variety of techniques are classified under the simple title “face lift”, and the procedure can be adapted to suit each individual patient’s desires and problem areas. Standard procedures combine correction of looseness and sagging involving your cheeks, jowls, jawline, chin and neck. If the forehead and brow area is a problem, then minimal-incision browlift can be done. If eyelid area loose skin, hooding, bags, etc. are a problem, then eyelid blepharoplasty is the solution. Short-scar (limited-incision) facelift is appropriate for those with looseness limited to the cheeks and jawline areas - without much neck looseness. This latter procedure is known by a variety of names; mini-lift, lite-lift, lifestyle-lift, MACS lift, S-lift. These alternatives are considered for all patients. Additional information is on our website http://www.expertplasticsurgeon.com/html/facelift.html

Sometimes we simply hear our patients say, “I’m just looking so old and tired,” or “I look so much older than I feel.” A facelift at our Greenville practice can address these concerns, helping to restore youthful-looking beauty for both our male and female patients.

Dr. Graham is board certified in plastic surgery, respected in the community, has almost 20 years experience, cares for thousands of cosmetic patients, is a member of several regional and national professional societies, including the American College of Surgeons. We serve Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Columbia, Greenwood, Seneca, Clemson, Easley, Greer, Simpsonville, Mauldin, Taylors, Sunset, Lake communities of Hartwell, Keowee, Jocassee, Reserve, Cliffs, Landrum & Tryon, Hendersonville, Brevard, Asheville, Waynesville, Franklin, Highlands, Cashiers, Clayton, Hartsville, etc.

Mommy Make-over is such a cute term: thoughts by Sutton Graham, MD

I don't know came up with the term, but it is certainly cleaver, "mommy-make-over." For over 15 years, we have been addressing women's concerns about their post-pregnancy changes (post-partum) with a variety of solutions for the breast and body, plus measures for the facial pigmentation, etc.

We have solutions for the breast sagging, loss of breast firmness, decrease or unwanted increase in breast size, stretch marks, loose tummy skin, loose tummy muscles, indented c-section scars, new fat accumulations about the hips, thighs, abdomen and buttocks.

Mommy make-over isn't a particular operation, but rather a combination of procedures to address each woman's concerns. They are done as an out-patient and you recover at home with you family and friends. Special anesthesia techniques are used to minimize discomfort and speed recovery.

Dr. Graham address the tummy by non-surgical skin tightening, stretch mark removal, liposuction, short-scar abdominoplasty, standard tummy tuck, and often adds liposuction of the love handles. These can reshape the torso, define the waist, flatten the stomach, firm abdominal tone, and smooth the skin. http://www.expertplasticsurgeon.com/html/tummy-tuck.html

He addresses the breast by implant augmentation, breast lift alone, breast lift with implants (augmentation mastopexy). If pregnancies have left you with uncomfortably larger breasts, then we offer breast reduction (standard of shot-scar techniques). http://www.expertplasticsurgeon.com/html/augmentation.html

Beauty for Life

The American Society for Aesthetic Surgery and the American Society for Plastic Surgery have jointly produced a wonderful new brochure as part of a campaign of public and patient education. It's title is Beauty for Life. The 25 page booklet can be obtained from the ASAPS at http://www.surgery.org/ or my office at http://www.expertplasticsurgeon.com/.

Highlights are the aging process, 4 levels of cosmetic care (noninvasive, minimally invasive, moderately invasive, and surgical), step-by-step (for teens, twenties, thirties, forties-fifties, fifties-sixties, beyond sixties), choosing a trustworthy surgeon, and questions to ask.

This approach mirrors the comprehensive care offered by my office. We have excellent skin care professionals, effective minimally invasive treatments and quality surgery procedures. I encourage more awareness and deeper understanding.
